Albert Michael Tober’s block was in the County of Pottinger, Parish of Breeza, Land District of Gunnedah.  It was a Settlement Purchase No. 1920/2 consisting of 558 acres. Albert applied for his loan on 16 December 1919 and it was approved in January 1920 . [1]  On 10 May 1920, the Dept. of Lands was informed that he was not living on his farm and had never even taken possession.  His situation was judged to be unsatisfactory. [2] In June 1920, as his whereabouts were unknown, the police were asked if they had any knowledge of his whereabouts.[3]  In August 1921 it was reported that he living at Yalwal, near Nowra, NSW.[4]
