Charles Cole obtained the block No. 307 on Hillview Soldier Settlement which was in the County of Cumberland, Parish of St Luke, Parramatta Land District. It consisted of six acres. Charles Cole died in 1921. The property (and the debts associated with the property) was transferred to his wife Evelyn Mary Cole. She married again taking the surname of Alcock.
Evelyn Alcock wrote on 11 March 1925, stating that she had ‘left Hillview and all connected with it…’. Her indebtedness was eventually written off.
