Edward Allen Leach was on Farm 16, Tuppal Soldier Settlement Estate in the County of Hume, Parish of Corowa and Corowa Land District. The foreman of the SS Estate believed Leach was a man who intended to do his best and have success on his farm. He also believed that share farming would be a big help to those who have ‘no means at their disposal to carry on’.[1]

In 1922 Edward Leach was given for an extension of time to meet the repayments of interest and instalments. [2] On 25 February 1924, Leach wrote asking that his payments be spread over 25 years because of crop failures in 1922 and 1923. An extension of time was granted until 31 January 1927.
