Francis Collis’s block was in the County of Cooper, Parish of North Bolaro, Land District of Narrandera.   His address was Kamarah. There were initial problems as Collis’s block had originally been stated as being located in the Parish of Moombooldoo when it should have been  in the Parish of North Bolaro.

Even though the land was mortgaged, the title to his portions was unclear.[1]  Consequently, Collis entered into a share-farming agreement with the vendor Harrison.[2]  The agreement was only to go ahead if the Advance to Collis was granted and if he was able to obtain the plant and equipment needed to run the place.[3]  By 4 September 1919, the mortgagees agreed to the share-farming of over 1200 acres.[4]  Collis’s Advance which was approved by 27 November 1919 was to be used for the purchase of horses, harness and fodder. [5]  A crop lien was executed with the consent of Harrison as security for the Advance.[6]

On the completion of the three year share-farming agreement on 15 January 1922 the outstanding amount of the Advance had to be paid back in full.[7]

The file ends without any information about the ultimate fate of Francis Collis.
